Great news! On February 12, 2019, Judge Andrea McHugh ruled in support of the SKA legal action to require the City of Sarasota to comply with its own regulations “to make an official determination that the Project is consistent with the City [Comprehensive] Plan and all other applicable local, regional, state, and federal plans and regulations.”

The city also would have to make the case that it would not need to provide notice of the project “to all affected persons … in a manner sufficient to trigger the right of those persons to challenge the decision under Chapter 163 [of the Florida Statutes].”

The city was given 20 days to respond to the order but may ask for an additional 10 days.  Updates will be provided as they become available.
