Sheriff’s annual Toy Drive begins Dec 1 to benefit Guardian Ad Litem program

Please bring a new, unwrapped toy or gift card to the December 1 SKA meeting to be delivered to the Sheriff’s Office.

The Sarasota Sheriff’s Office announced that its 2022 annual toy drive runs December 1 through 14 to benefit children enrolled with the 12th Judicial Circuit of Florida’s Guardian ad Litem program. Sheriff Hoffman stated that this year his office is partnering with two other organizations who “support kids who deserve a memorable holiday, “Sarasota Teen Court and All Star Children’s Foundation. The toy drive requests gift cards and new, unwrapped toys (no stuffed animals) be delivered to the Sheriff’s headquarters at 6010 Cattleridge Blvd. in Sarasota, December 1 through 14 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Children range in age from newborn to teen.

This year’s holiday toy drive also coincides with the agency’s annual open house on Saturday, December 10 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. The first 500 attendees to deliver a new and unwrapped toy or gift card will receive a free sheriff’s office t-shirt, limited to one per person per gift.
