A workshop will be held on May 10, 2021 to discuss proposed redevelopment of the existing 55-unit  Siesta Key Resort Hotel into a  new 170-room hotel at 5311 Ocean Blvd, and 215 Calle Miramar on Siesta Key.  The Meeting will begin at 6 pm and is scheduled for 2 hours.

Since the original application, proposed height calculation has changed.  Height is proposed to be measured as 35 feet above two stories of parking, as opposed to the original proposal of one story of parking.

The redevelopment is limited by Sarasota County Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Policy (FLU) 2.9.1. Therefore, the owners propose to amend

(1) Comprehensive Plan – FLU Policy 2.9.1.; and

(2) UDC Text for this redevelopment.
