On August 29, the County Commission will hold a public hearing on an appeal by the developer of a 112-room hotel on the former Wells Fargo site on Siesta Key to allow him to proceed with the next steps in the construction process, even though litigation over hotels on the island is pending.

The hearing will be held at the R. L. Anderson Administration Center in Venice, 4000 S. Tamiami Trail. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. The agenda item is 80. View hearing notice. Those wishing to express concerns may do so in person and via email to planner@scgov.net and commissioners@scgov.net.
